And as you do this, you’ll of course advance in levels over time.

Discover the best kept Farmville Secrets

There may come a time, though, when you want to get a little more out of the game. Every time you move up a level, you unlock new seeds, decorations, and other discretionary items. This means that in order to get the most out of your FarmVille experience, you’ll have to level up promptly to unlock as many items and bonuses as you’ll be able to.

The fundamentals

Just how do you do this? There are a lot of things to keep in mind if you prefer to level up quickly in FarmVille. You likely already know that in order to level upwards, you need to pile up experience points. For instance, each plot of land you plow gets you one experience point. In the early stages of game play, the number of experience points you get by plowing land and planting crops is plenty to allow you to advance at a reasonable pace. Once you get through the initial phases though, you start to need numerous experience points to level up.

Concentrate on Experience

When you want to ramp up experience points quickly in FarmVille, you’ve to supplement what you acquire from your normal harvests with other activities. Making improvements to your farm is a fine way to gain some quick globs of experience points. Buildings yield the most, but you can get experience from putting up just about any decoration or structure. You just have to pay close attention to the amounts of experience points each item will deliver.

You should also take experience points into consideration when deciding which crops to plant. Crops that take less than a day to grow only yield 1 experience point, while crops that take longer yield 2. That doesn’t mean you only want to plant crops that offer 2 experience points however. If you can get back and harvest them as soon as they’re ready, crops like strawberries will get you more than 2 experience points a day because you will be able to harvest them every four hours.

You have to get on top of your harvesting and planting cycles in order to make progress this way though. Putting up buildings on your farm remains the best way to get big boosts in your experience quickly. Lay aside your cash for those, and you’ll be comfortably on your way to unlocking all of the available items in FarmVille.

There are so many methods to bettor your farm in the FarmVille game and folks are probing every day for solutions.

Discover how to Plow and seed like a real farmer by reading the FarmVille Secrets guide

This guide is jammed with cheats, tips and tricks that you can put to use right away.

When you’re playing FarmVille, it’s interesting to experiment with different crops and planting patterns. Luckily you’ll always be selling crops for more than you paid for the seeds, so you’ll always be making money.

Farmville GuideHowever; you unfortunately won’t always be making a lot of money. Farmville crops that sell for a lot can often cost a lot as well.

Like a real farmer, careful planning, pays off in the long run, as you need to save up for those other decorations and buildings you’ve been looking forward to buying.

There are several different factors that contribute to the profitability and desirability of a particular crop, and it’s a good idea to keep these in mind when you’re making your planting decisions.

Return on Investment

One important element to take into consideration when deciding what type of crops to plant is how much of a difference there is between the seed price and the price your harvest will fetch at the market. Some crops, like soybeans, will get you back more than 4 times your initial investment, while others will return less than 2. It’s obviously more advantageous to get the most back when you can, but there are other factors to consider as well.

Hourly Earnings

Since different types of Farmville crops take differing amounts of time to grow, they’ll be earning you different amounts of coins per hour. If you want to get the most out of your plowed land, you’ll want to make sure you’re planting the crops that will yield you the most profit.

Artichokes are a nice harvest and sell for over 200 coins per plot of cultivated land. However; it takes 4 days for these plants to mature, making your earnings per hour not very high. Raspberries, on the other hand, will get you over 40 coins every 2 hours. This will give you a generous benefit with a quick turnaround time, and the opportunity to replant and make more money quickly.

Crop Planting Time

Of course, planting a crop like raspberries won’t make you much money if you can’t get back to your farm in time to harvest them. Since these plants mature so quickly, they also wither quickly, and you’ll only lose money if you plant them and then don’t check on your farm for a day. While the earning potential and investment return of crops is always important, it’s also important to make sure your farm’s planting and harvesting needs are adaptable to your schedule.

To make matters interesting, the crops in Farmville wither at the same rate that they mature. This means that a crop like raspberries that matures in 2 hours will wither 2 hours after that. Something like artichokes, on the other hand, will not wither for 8 days from the time you plant them.

Deciding on which crops to plant doesn’t need to be an overly complicated decision. Of course, it’s good to put some thought into it, if you want your farm to prosper and grow.

FarmVille Stacking Crops

When first developing your farm, it’s easy to forget to rack up the Farmville Ribbons. You’ll earn a few by chance as you plant and harvest your crops, and they give some nice unexpected extras, but most people don’t focus too much on these successes.

You’ll be doing yourself a big favor, though, if you do take a closer look at the various farmville ribbons available and what you need to do to earn them. Often it won’t take much of an adjustment to your game plan to get some ribbons under your belt and they give you a favorable position as you advance through the game.

Why You Want Ribbons

You won’t be able to focus on earning ribbons if you don’t know what the criteria are for doing so. You can easily locate this information, though, by clicking on the farmville ribbon icon in the lower right hand corner of your screen. Once you take a quick look at the different types of ribbons available and what you have to do to get them, you’ll see why it’s easy and worthwhile to focus on earning ribbons.

Basically, any of the tasks you complete in the game will eventually earn you a ribbon. You can make headway into the process, though, if you know what to focus on. For example, say you’re doubtful about whether to buy another cow or branch out into shepherding.

Knowing that you can earn a ribbon for collecting goods from different types of animals might make your decision a little easier. It costs you a few hundred coins more to buy the sheep initially, but you’ll likely wind up with a bonus in the thousands once you achieve the ribbon. That’s a fantastic return on your investment.

Getting Neighbors

Obtaining as many neighbors as you can is the best thing to focus on first when you’re trying to earn ribbons.  Having a certain number of neighbors can earn you the Local Celebrity ribbon and can help you earn quite a few other ribbons.

Helping out your neighbor’s by working on their farms can earn you the Good Samaritan ribbon. You can only help each neighbor once a day, though, so you’ll earn this ribbon faster with the more neighbors you have. Having a lot of neighbors makes it much easier to master categories like the ‘Not Spoiled’, Gifted! Ribbon.

You earn these ribbons by receiving a certain number of unique gifts, and the more neighbors you have, the more gifts you’ll get.

It’s Worth Your Time

Racking up some of the Farmville ribbons quickly isn’t really that difficult, but it can do you a lot of good in FarmVille. All it takes is a little bit of time and focus, and you’ll be well on your way towards earning some great bonuses in the form of both coins and experience points.

This will give you a great boost when it comes to moving up to higher levels, as well as the cash to buy the new items you unlock when you do. The higher level crops will also allow you to earn more farmville coins more quickly, giving you even more cash to invest back into your farm.

If you’re just starting out in FarmVille, you may not think it’s all that important to have a lot of Farmville neighbors. After all, you’re not fighting other players like you would in Mafia Wars. Since your farm won’t ever be attacked, you never have to worry about defending it. You just have to keep plowing, planting, and harvesting, and watch the coins collect in the bank.Farmville Champ Guide

While this is absolutely an ideal way to play the game, it’s not the easiest or the most productive.
After playing the game for awhile you will find the need for Farmville neighbors.

Adding neighbors can give you all kinds of benefits that allow you to advance to the next levels more rapidly and accumulate more animals, trees, and decorations for your farm. Having a lot of neighbors will also make it much easier and less expensive for you to expand your farm when you’re ready to do that. You may ask, how do you get all these neighbors?

Hit Up Your Friends

The first place to go looking for neighbors is your friend list. It’s most likely that some of the people you know have already started farming themselves, and the game makes it easy for you to find them.
Just click on the ‘My Neighbors’ tab, and you’ll bring up a list of the people on your friend list who are already playing FarmVille. Next, all you have to do is click on the box to add them as your neighbor.

While this is a not a bad place to start, there’s no reason to be happy with this amount of neighbors.

Click on the next tab over to invite Friends, to quickly send invitations to everyone on your friend list to come and play FarmVille with you. Naturally, not all of the people you invite will take you up on it, but you should be able to get at least a few more neighbors out of this. Be sure to invite everyone though. As you have nothing to lose, and you never know which of your friends is secretly a farmer at heart.

Beyond Your Friend List

Depending on how large your friend list is and how many positive responses you get, you may not need to look elsewhere for more neighbors. If you do want to try and find more, though, a great place to find some new neighbors (and friends) are the FarmVille Forums. Here you’ll be able to chat with and add a bunch of people as neighbors who enjoy playing the game and are looking for new ways to expand their opportunities.

Just a word of caution though when adding players from these forums.
While most of them have legitimate profiles of regular FarmVille players like you, fraudulent profiles may exist out there.

You’ll know you added a bogus profile if you start getting harebrained messages in your inbox, so please be careful not to add too many unknown people at once. That way, you’ll be able to easily tell which profile to erase if you encounter an issue.

Adding neighbors and expanding your farm is just one of the many entertaining aspects of FarmVille.
However, it doesn’t always give you more options for game play. It will though, give you new ways to interact with old friends and a nice place to add new ones, and that may be the most valuable life experience of all.
